With mature trees, a stream, lakes and the Broadmeadow River lazily winding its way through the course, each hole at Swords Open Golf Course offers a unique challenge to every category of golfer from the beginner to the experienced.

COURSE TIPS

Watch for the Broadmeadow River directly behind the 1st hole, the stream running across the 2nd fairway, out of bounds on the right of the 3rd, the Broadmeadow runs all along the right hand side of the 4th and 5th, the mature trees both sides of the 6th, out of bounds right and left of the 7th and 8th and well placed bunkers on the 9th.

A short stroll through a tree lined walk to the 10th and ensure that you keep to the left side of the fairway to avoid the out of bounds and the fairway bunker, bunkers guard the 11th green, watch for the lake on the 12th that surrounds the green.  A good tee shot is required on the 13th to clear the lake in front of the tee box, watch for the greenside bunker on the 14th and carefully placed bunkers on the 15th.  Mature trees both sides of the 16th and the undulating fairway ensures that any wayward shot will be punished, the Broadmeadow River comes back into play on the 17th and with trees on the left and a bunker in front of the green the last hole should be treated with respect.
